Brian Dunlap, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Los Angeles Literature founded the online publication in 2015.
Los Angeles Literature is an online publication covering the greater Los Ángeles literary community: its news, its writers, its literature, its history, its literary organizations.
Started as a resource blog/site covering the community’s news and providing information on its weekly literary events, open mics, reading series, independent bookstores, local independent presses, literary organizations and annual events, in 2023 Los Angeles Literature was redesigned and relaunched as a publication accepting submissions covering the literary community, while still retaining its origins as a resource website that connects the residents of Los Ángeles and its outlying communities to its literary community and the community’s history, to fill the void in the lack of news and knowledge about this vibrant literary community.
Los Angeles Literature is always open for submissions of articles, book reviews, interviews, history and literary criticism. Check out Los Angeles Literature’s submission guidelines for more information on what the publication is specifically looking to publish.
